Mummy goes shopping

Mummy has finally had to buy me some clothes herself because our friend Flo, who used to lend me all her clothes when she'd outgrown them as she is 2 months older than me, is now the same size as me! So here I am in one of my new outfits... as usual, Mummy thinks I look rather gorgeous.

Father's Day

Daddy loved the card I made him! We went to Brentwood to meet up with Nana, Grandpa, Uncle Matt, Auntie Kim and Uncle Dan. Nana and Grandpa bought me these stacking cups which I love, and Daddy read me a story book from Auntie Lesley in Australia. What a lucky girl I am!

Nan and Pops come to stay

We're having a lovely time at the moment with Nan and Pops. Here you can see me reading with Pops in the garden, and sitting in my Bumbo directing Nan and Mummy as they cook the dinner. Now that I'm nearly ready for weaning I sit in my Bumbo at the dinner table and watch everyone eating at every mealtime.

My favourite book

I love this book, Find the Frog, and I can turn the pages and look behind the lily and the leaf to find the froggie all by myself now.... given enough time!

Sitting up!

... And here I am in the afternoon of 16 June actually sitting up by myself! I managed a good few minutes before doing my impression of flat pack baby and folding myself in half on the floor.

Practising sitting up - 16 June

I'm getting better and better at sitting up by myself. Here I am practising in the morning on 16 June.... I can sit up now with only Mummy's finger for support (and occassionally I get distracted and chew on it instead)...

Nekkie Bebbie

Having no clothes on is hil-ar-i-ous. This was taken just before we painted Daddy's father's day card - there was too much paint and not enough hands to take a picture of the aftermath!

Mummy thinks I'm gorgeous

Here I am doing my best impression of an Arabian princess with my muslin square. Mummy thinks I'm gorgeous... is she just biased?

Nicky and Guy come to stay

We went to the Shuttleworth Collection with Nicky and Guy... Mummy carried me around the museum in the sling and I was so excited looking at all the aircraft my legs were kicking about ten to the dozen! Then we went and had a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake in the garden - only 3 weeks till I can start weaning and then I can get my own cake!

RAF girl through and through

Here I am borrowing Daddy's hat. I suspect I look even better than him in it.

Watch me grow!

These photos were taken only two days apart - the pink outfit on 10th and the blue one on 12th June - but Mummy thinks you can see a big difference in how big I am and how much better at sitting up I am...

9 June

Mummy can't believe how much my face is changing and thinks I look very grown up now.

In Synch with Daddy

Mummy thinks this series of photos is hilarious because even though Daddy and I can't see each other, we are pulling the same facial expressions in every photo!

Baby Group

Here I am with Mummy at one of the local Parent and Baby groups we go to. This is the one in Houghton village, where we go with Justine and baby Isobel, Emma and baby Meg, Jo and baby Callum and Danielle and her twins Poppy and Grace. I love the toys here, and like using the baby bouncer while I watch the other babies and toddlers playing and Mummy having a chinwag and a cuppa.

Breaking the rules again...

Mummy let me sleep on my front today, I'm nearly 5 months old now and this is the first time I've slept on my tummy when not hanging over someone's arm or lap! I like being held on my tummy because it seems to help with my windy tummy pain, and mummy thinks I'm like a koala bear because I grip on to the person's arm with my hands - until I fall asleep of course, then I just hang there all floppy and lovely.

Looking pretty in ANOTHER frock from Great Auntie Janice

Nana and Grandpa come to stay - May bank holiday

This was my first real go in the rucksack carrier that Nana and Grandpa bought me - it was touch and go as to whether I'd like it, but it turned out to be a real success! I loved looking around at the trees and things around me, and after half an hour or so I fell asleep so I must have been comfy! I also spent a lot of time showing Nana and Grandpa my skills in the bouncer (still not much bouncing but Nana used it as a swing which was a great success!)

Found my feet

I've found my feet and not only do I like to hold on to them as much as possible, but I also use them to hold on to toys sometimes!

Cuddles with Mummy

My hair is really starting to grow now and it looks like I'll have Mummy's hair colour - but I still have blue eyes like Daddy!

My first official swimming lesson

Nana and Grandpa came to watch me at my first proper swimming lesson - this is photo was taken at the end of the lesson and you can see our teacher in the background. The lessons take place in the Marriott Hotel pool near Brampton. We played lots of games - Mummy and Daddy balanced me in one hand while I chased a ball around the pool; they blew bubbles and spat water out at me; we sang songs and moved about in the water; mummy and daddy made lots of splashes and we jumped in the water. I loved it but I was really tired at the end after half an hour of excitement, so I didn't do a submersion - but that's something to look forward to for next week!

29 May - concentrating hard on the important tasks in hand

Here I am in my new bumbo seat, having a serious look at my activity gym! And this is the mobile that hangs above my changing mat. I love it so much it makes me smile spontaneously most mornings - Mummy sometimes thinks I smile at the mobile more often than at her!

Annie and Elliot come to stay

We had a lovely time with Annie and Elliot. I was fascinated by Elliot and couldn't take my eyes off him. Mummy thinks I was a bit jealous of his wolf outfit - after all, I am the wolf cub! We went to St Ives and watched the swans, and went swimming at Parkside pool in Cambridge.

Having fun with daddy - 23 May

Daddy makes me laugh a lot and is a fail-safe smile-bringer.

Lovely weekend with Nicky and Guy

Nicky and Guy came to visit us and we had a lovely summery weekend. We went punting again but it was much more tricky to keep me safe from the sun this time - it was 27-29 degrees, the hottest I've ever experienced! Mummy and Daddy think I coped very well as I wasn't nearly as grumpy as I might have been... We went to the mill and everyone else had tea and cake while I kicked about in the shade of the tree, and then to the village pub where I accidentally pooed all over Daddy's shorts, much to the hilarity of all the other patrons! The next day we were all quite tired and just relaxed in the garden.
